Liz Jensen – Miss Liz
Background & Education
Science and Technology have always had my interest, and I was a kid that rather played with lego and electric trains than dolls. When I returned to college I first studied at Santa Monica College, where I initially was a computer science major, but a visit to the Santa Monica College Astronomy Club changed that, and I switched to Astrophysics.
In 2002 I transferred to University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), from where I recieved a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics Summer of 2004.
In the fall of 2005 I began a Master’s Program in Physics at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), and received my M.Sc. fall 2008.
I both conduct Astrophysics research with a collaborator at UCLA and privately tutor Math & Physics.
In the Spring of 2026 I was a Section Leader for ‘Code In Place’, teaching Python. Code In Place is an Outreach program run the the Computer Science department at Stanford University.
For a very long time I’ve been thinking of sharing my knowledge of math & science over the internet and this blog website and Youtube Channel is the beginning of it.  August -2026
